Biofuels Expert Counsels Ohio House of Representatives

Arisdyne Systems President Contributes Knowledge of Alternative Energy Industry

CLEVELAND, OH (August 10, 2009) – Dr. Peter Reimers, President and CEO of Arisdyne Systems, Inc., provided expert testimony on the alternative energy industry to the Ohio House of Representatives Alternative Energy Committee at a field hearing in Cleveland on Friday, July 31, 2009.

"One of the reasons the Alternative Energy Field Hearing Event was such a success was because of the Northeast Ohio exhibitors," said Roxanne Summers of the Ohio Aerospace Institute. "Having an opportunity to learn of the work going on in the alternative energy arena with Northeast Ohio companies was a great experience."

Dr. Reimers was joined by leaders from NASA’s Glenn Research Center, NorTech, the Ohio Aerospace Institute, the Clean Energy Alliance of Ohio and Rolls-Royce Fuel Cell Systems. This event was the first of a series of regional field hearings planned by the Ohio House Alternative Energy Committee to gain a better understanding of the types and breadth of alternative energy-related work underway in Ohio. The information gathered from the field hearings will inform the Committee’s current and future policy-making activities.

Dr. Reimers joined Arisdyne in August 2008, following more than ten years in the biofuels and alternative energy industry. His global business background includes extensive experience in process design and operations, global feedstock and fuel markets, strategic planning, commodity trading, and project management with a focus on biotechnology.

Prior to joining Arisdyne, Reimers worked for Archer Daniels Midland for more than ten years, overseeing biodiesel operations in the European Union and in the United States. Most recently, he was the managing director of long-term technology strategy in which he was responsible for evaluating investment options for a new research and development center focusing on bioenergy technologies.
