The company is dedicated to designing new and better biofuel systems to help our environment and have a positive impact on the U.S. economy.

Ethanol Sales Engineer

Ethanol Sales Engineer - Clean Technology

 Responsibilities: Sources, call, determine customer issues, resolve customer issues, sell and close on Arisdyne cavitation systems equipment sales either directly to ethanol producers, or indirectly through coordinated efforts with the ethanol plant engineering firms as well as in coordination with key process materials suppliers/advisors such as enzyme or yeast manufacturers. 

  • Work closely with the EVP to develop quarterly and annual prospecting and sales goals, develop and manage budgets, and collaborate on value driven pricing models that meet the overall business goals.
  • Identify and contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how hydrodynamic cavitation equipment maximizes their production output.
  • Be independently responsible for prospecting, cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs, and meeting sales quota.
  • Confer and understand customers’ equipment requirements, to determine system requirements.
  • Question customer to determine “pain issues” based on analyses of customers' production needs, technical capabilities, and limitations.
  • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing.
  • Develops strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to sell/market and ethanol equipment or services.
  • Provides input to EVP Business Development and CTO on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Operations and assigned engineering support to develop working design configurations, cost estimates, and production lead times.
  • Develop compelling value propositions based on identified customer needs and Arisdyne's ability to provide differentiated technical solutions
  • Review and analyze customer requirements through blueprints, plans, contract terms and conditions or other information to develop and prepare a detailed proposal which describes: type of equipment needed, calculate size and create preliminary design, determine price, delivery time and financial terms for the described product.
  • Close the order with accounts within the proscribed profit margins. 
  • In addition to key customer relationships, engage in key external market conferences, committees, and associations to identify emerging needs and solutions
  • Understand today’s challenges of the ethanol industry: commodities profit margins, economic and political activities. 

Education and/or Experience:                 
Bachelor’s degree required in an engineering discipline, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or such technology oriented fields as Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry or Materials Sciences. Ten years plus experience in the design equipment and sales development with an equipment manufacturer would be very helpful. The candidate should have a successful and proven track record of consultative sales and understanding of the emerging and fast changing bio fuel and ethanol marketplace / industry. 

The successful candidate shall possess strong influencing skills to work with both top  management as well as technical partners and operations staff in order to get the right product and resources to serve the client.  Ability to make decisions, such as prioritizing relationships, negotiating with clients (external and internal), and overcoming obstacles with minimal supervision or assistance; the ability to make independent decisions when appropriate and necessary.  The incumbent shall possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable giving technical presentations in front of groups of engineers.   

The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Project Management, and ACT.

Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing and collaborate effectively throughout the organization to achieve company goals and expected results.
